Bradley Free Clinic plays a critical role as a training ground for a new generation of medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health providers. Student volunteers are nearing graduation and benefit from the oversight of a proctor and experienced medical director. We are pleased to partner with these exceptional educational institutions:

Established in 1898, the Virginia Commonwealth School of Pharmacy offers many specialties and is recognized as a leading training ground for pharmacy professionals. The school has committed to developing progressive pharmacy practice models while maintaining the foundational pharmaceutical sciences.

RUC Physical Therapy

The Radford University Carilion Physical Therapy Department aims to develop autonomous physical therapy practitioners who optimize the human experience. This department strives to develop professionals who will improve access and quality of care for aging and underserved populations. Many patients experience an increased range of motion and improved quality of life as a result of the physical therapy they receive at Bradley Free Clinic.

VCU School of Dentistry

Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry aims to provide nationally acclaimed programs that endeavor to be among the best. VCU strives to help students become first-rate professionals that share core values of honesty, integrity, hard work, and dedication to the betterment of humankind. Virginia Commonwealth School of Pharmacy and Appalachian College of Pharmacy

We benefit from pharmacy volunteers from Appalachian College of Pharmacy and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Located near Grundy, Virginia, the Appalachian College of Pharmacy, a college of higher education conferring the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, provides academic, scientific, and professional pharmacy education to address the health-related needs of rural and underserved communities, particularly those in Appalachia, through teaching, service, and scholarship.

Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine

Through a unique public-private partnership, the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine educates physicians through inquiry, research, and discovery. Bradley patients benefit from the energy and knowledge of these outstanding future medical professionals.

Carilion Residents

Carilion Clinic provides an exceptional training ground for young doctors to develop highly competent and compassionate physicians and other healthcare professionals capable of thriving in the most demanding clinical and academic environments. Many Carilion residents help Bradley in a range of capacities, from actively working with patients to fundraising.

Virginia Tech Behavioral Health

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is helping to build a future vision of psychiatry. The clinical and research faculty and learners are making a measurement-based approach to care delivery. Utilizing a comprehensive electronic health record, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine is creating a learning system. These young, caring professionals assist us in the Robertson Behavioral Health wing.
